New Crop Guatemala Las Nubes Arrives Monday
25 July Sunday 2010
Our latest coffee shipment arrives on Monday – including the new crop of Guatemala Las Nubes, a perennial favourite among our Central American, single-estate coffees over the years.
Our green coffee partners Mercanta, who have been working with Finca Las Nubes for the last 10 years invited the owners Don Fabio Solís and his wife Doña Sonia to the Caffè Culture Show (including the WBC) in London in mid-June. There is a wonderful interview about their farm and about their trip on the Mercanta website. This was their first trip to Europe, and Flori from Mercanta arranged for them to visit London and Paris – a trip of a lifetime.
Come in from about Wednesday to have a taste of the new crop. We have in the past played with some very interesting 2 component blends using Las Nubes – ask the baristas to make you a shot of 50% Las Nubes blended with 50% Indonesia Aceh Takengon. Delicious.
For more information about Finca Las Nubes, please refer to our farm profile.
Among other coffees, this shipment also includes more stock of the new crop from Bibi Plantation in Karnataka, India, our first, long-awaited Ethiopia Sidamo CO2 Decaf, and more stock of a range of popular coffees such as Kenya Makwa AA, Rwanda Musasa, Tanzania Blackburn Pick of Harvest & Shades of September, and Bolivia Colonia San Juan 8 Estrellas. It will take us a few days to start roasting all of these so please be patient with us!
